Dr. Linda Andersen is R & D Manager at ILAB, a contract laboratory that facilitates aquatic research activity, located in central Bergen, Norway. ILAB has more than 25 years of experience in running fish experiments for clients, and may provide state-of –the art wet laboratory facilities, with more than 240 fish tanks available within the range of 4-30 °C and 0-34 ppt. ILAB produce their own experimental fish, salmon lice Lepeophtheirus salmonis and keeps the amoeba Paramoeba perurans in continuous culture.
Dr. Andersen is an Aquamedicine biologist with expertise and experience in designing and carrying out various challenge studies for the aquaculture, pharmaceutical and feed industries, especially related to salmon viruses, sea lice and amoeba.
